Reducing bushes are fabricated from a solid, single piece of cast steel; converting varying sizes of pipes, from one end to another. These special types of blanks are used to transition between welded and Solvent Welded mated pipe connections. The bush has machined inner and outer diameters, with a bar stock wall thickness, to fit the equivalent pipe sizes. The machining process is used to ensure there is a smooth and consistent transition between the two pipe sizes.
