Pipe Schedule & Wall Thickness RFQ Reference
Pipe schedule is a designation used with nominal pipe size and material/standard. The actual wall thickness must be checked against the applicable dimensional standard and pipe specification.
Common Schedule Designations
Sch 5 • Sch 10 • Sch 20 • Sch 30 • Sch 40 • Sch 60 • Sch 80 • Sch 100 • Sch 120 • Sch 140 • Sch 160
Stainless-steel schedules may also appear with an S suffix, such as 10S or 40S, depending on the applicable standard.
RFQ best practice: specify nominal size + material grade + pipe standard + schedule/wall thickness + manufacturing process (ERW/seamless where required) + quantity/length.
