Important: ASME Class and PN are different rating systems and are not direct one-to-one conversions. Allowable pressure depends on material, temperature and the applicable standard.
Common ASME Class Designations
Class 150 • 300 • 600 • 900 • 1500 • 2500
Use the applicable ASME pressure-temperature tables for the actual material and temperature.
Common PN Designations
PN 6 • 10 • 16 • 25 • 40 • 63 • 100 • 160
Use the applicable EN/ISO/product standard for allowable pressure and dimensions.
RFQ Checklist
State the exact required rating system, material, temperature, end connection/facing and applicable standard rather than converting Class to PN by approximation.
